What do you do when, as a 5yr old, you wake up in a hospital bed and are the only surviving member in your family?
What do you do when you are ostracized because people don’t know how to treat you? What do you do when life tells you to suck it up and move on? What then? What next? Who can you trust?
What Do You Do When the Person You Trusted the Most Tries to KILL You?
This happened to Chris Keith. Chris was 5 when he was shot in the head by his father during a family murder-suicide. When officials arrived at the home 12 hours later, the family was pronounced dead at the scene. But when Chris was able to crawl closer to the door to be found alive it became a race against time to save the young boy’s life. Chris is now 28; he is married and has a 5 year old son. His testimony presents a clear understanding that God causes all things to work for the good of those who love Him. Chris says, “If you don’t believe God can create good from evil, take a look at my son, Dylan.”
By the will of God, Chris survived. Chris’s main comfort in life has been Jeremiah 29:11 (For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.)
