Upward Bound Outreach Prayer Wall
How it works:
1) This prayer wall is for youth requesting prayers. If you are a youth that is struggling and you need prayer, please post your request here. Keep your requests short.
2) Please take the time to pray for these requests and post encouragement.
3) All posts will be reviewed by volunteers before appearing on the site, so if you don’t see it added right away, we still get the request.
4) Spam will be eliminated. We reserve the right to edit requests, for example, to maintain the privacy of a minor.
5) If you are in an immediate crisis situation, please call 911.
Comments posted by “Prayer” are prayers received in person by youth in detention facilities. Your prayers for them are deeply appreciated.

Please Lord bless these children with hope and determination. Thank you for people who do care for these with this service of prayer.
pray for me to get home and see my family because I might not ever see them again
Father, Tyler’s life and times are in your hands. I pray that as he trusts in you and your sovereign plan for his life he is able to rest in peace that God is in control and that you love him. As he delights in you may you grant him the desires of his heart, to see his family again. In Jesus name we ask this. Amen
Father, I pray for Tyler right now that YOU will give him peace and make YOUR presence known to him. May he know that YOU love him, that he is special. I pray that he is restored with his family and he will see YOU in his life.
Praying that you, Tyler get home to see your family. God bless you.
I hope you will pray for me after I leave. Thank you. You are loved. =)
Father, please strengthen and lift up and guide this fellow believer and let every choice made be honoring to you. In Jesus name, Amen.
Please pray for this pain and fear that I have built up up inside of me to go away. Also please pray that I go into DYS with an open mind and get out of there ASAP and and get my life back on track. Thank you so much – Alexis
I will be praying for you! I pray for you to feel relief from your pain & fear. Read the passage below, I find it helpful when I get anxious or scared to read verses like this one. Pray for Jesus to help you through these difficult times. May God Bless you & give you the strength you need!
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Father I lift up Alexis to YOU. Protect her, take away her fear, heal her pain. God we know she is YOUR child and we ask that she comes to know YOU love her. May she grow and find peace in YOU. Bless this child of YOURS. Thank you Jesus.
Alexis, I am praying that the pain and fear will get out your body and soul and that you will get back on a “good” track. Love to you!
God is always with you Alexis…anytime you feel fear, just close your eyes and rest assured that God is all around you. My favorite prayer for protection – The light of God surrounds you; The love of God enfolds you; The power of God protects you; The presence of God watches over you; Wherever you are, God is!
You will make it through this and have a wonderful life!
Darla
pray I’ll make it and not get institutionalized on the way. I have a drug problem.
Father, you are Creator and Sustainer of all things and nothing is too hard for you. I ask that you bless Joe with strength given by your Holy Spirit to make right decisions and trust in you with all his heart and not to lean on his own understanding. That in all his ways he will acknowledge you as you lead him in the right path. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen
Joe, seek the help you need and trust God to help you make the right decisions. Praying you will get out of this situation of using drugs. Will pray for you. Barb
I would like to be prayed for to have strength to carry on. And have someone to car for me.
Jeremiah,
I will pray for you and you can rest assured that you WILL be cared for. Stay strong and I promise you will get through this trying time. Everything has a way of working out and soon you will begin to see positive changes.
Hang in there kiddo!! I am here for you!
Darla
Pray for my drug addiction to get better.
Greg, I will definately pray for you. Please keep fighting. It will get better but you have to believe that also. I know you can do it and with God all things are possible. I will pray for you, cK
I pray that your drug addiction will not only get better but that it will no longer be. Pray you will become drug free soon. God bless. It will take determination and God’s help.
I used to sell drugs and thought I had the worst life. But now I plan on completely turning my life around and I would like to help others stay out of the type of situations I was in. you are loved. Cal
I stand with you and where two or more gather in His name, miracles abound. Change lives, Cal – look at who Sual was before he became Paul. We are all redemption stories in the making and those are the VERY BEST stories! Press on.
Its hard for me to trust or love anyone becuase i was abused by my mom and dad. Becuase they hurt me i dont know if i will ever trust people.
Daniel, Trust the Lord. Read the Word and you will find that perpetual love and trust jumping off those pages. If you give the Lord your primary affection, really make it your primary relationship, then you will see that all other relationships fall underneath that intimacy in perfect context. Did you know one of your namesakes wrote of book in the Bible – Daniel, the prophet? Did you know that all believers in God are your mothers, your fathers, your brothers and your sisters? Do you know who the REAL FATHER is for all of us? God Bless you, Eddie
I hope you can find someone in whom you can trust so that you will regain that feeling of trust in your life again. Get in a church group and seek the comfort of someone there. Hang in there. Love Barb
My prayer is for my son Alec….He was just recently arrested for the 1st time. He was charged with public intoxication & resisting arrest. His life really started to change when he was 15. He has started down this path of drugs & destruction and no matter how hard I try with therapy, family, now getting him arrested or even trying to get him to church nothing seems to matter to him expect his drugs. Everyone in his life except for me has given up on him. He steals money from me all the time and lies constantly to everyone. Everyone tells me I should just kick him out. Everyone tells me it isn’t going to get better until he hits rock bottom. He has always made bad choices with friends in his life and didn’t finish high school. I’m not sure what can be done with this child……so I ask for your prayers. Thank for you taking the time to read my story & pray for my son & all of us.
Nicole, somewhere underneath all those lies and deception is the child he once was and could be again. NOTHING is more powerful on this planet than the prayers of a mother and we join you in praying for him. God can do this and we stand with you in prayer.
I pray for you with your son and his problems. It is so difficult to help someone that does not want it. I will pray that something will come into his life that will help him see the light; see where he needs to be. I am praying for you to have comfort in knowing that someone is praying for you and your son. God bless.Barb
Thanks for coming to talk to us. Those words touched me and I realized that lots of people make it through really hard situations and it made me think that I can too. Thank you for that. A.
Father, we thank you that this believer realizes that there is hope when we put our trust in you. We ask that you send encouragers and strengthen A’s faith, hope and love in you and for others. Thank you that you are able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we could ever ask or think. Thank you for what you are going to do in and through A’s life. In Jesus name, Amen
You can make it, A May God bless you with the continued belief in yourself. YOU CAN do it! Love in Christ, Barb
I really heard what you said when you talked to us. I am trying to take one step at a time. I used to live my life in the fast lane. Pray for me to stop hanging out with the wrong people and quit doing drugs and breaking the law. I know you said God had a purpose for me and I want to change.
J, God does have a purpose for you. The hard part is finding the right friends. I will pray for you and all your upcoming difficult decisions. Stay strong!
jahmahree, you have hit on a very key point. The Lord orders the step of a righteous man or woman, step by step. We step from SOLID GROUND to PREPARED GROUND. Ask yourself when you look at your friends – are these the people I want to be hanging out with in five years? Drugs suck life out with a false feel. God gives your life a MEANING that no drug could ever give you. Peace. Perfection. In Him. Praying for you!!! Listen to God to find your next step and then simply take it. He will guide you all the way to who you were meant to be!
Jahmahree, You DO have a purpose in life and only when you seek God’s guidance will you find that purpose. Leave the wrong people and seek some good Christian friends to help you in your life. Love in Christ, Barb
I would like it if someone would pray for me to turn over a new leaf and become a better person.
I am praying just that…..that God whirls you about to become a new leaf, a new person, cleansed and redeemed. Praying for you and knowing it will be done.
Please pray that things will get better for me and my family.
DH – they will get better in the Name and through the grace of the Lord. Grab a Bible to read – your story and your redemption has already been written!
I need forgiveness. I am thankful for what I do have. But I have made a lot of mistakes. Please pray for me.
We have all made so many mistakes. The Lord forgives and asks us to go and sin no more. A heart likes yours can do this, a heart that knows gratitude and will hold its forgiveness like a new born. You are forgiven in the name of the Lord – rejoice and then walk out your gratitude!U
I am praying for you today. Put your trust in God. He forgives each of us and will help you through each step you take.I pray for you to experience peace and new beginning-that you will let go of the past and move forward with hope and joy.
If you could pray for me and how hopefully I will not keep getting in trouble when I get out and that I will be a better person and a good kid when I get out.
Jacob, you ARE a good kid or you would not have made this prayer request. I am praying for you and I believe in you. Let Christ walk with you for God has big plans for your life. Accept this, Jacob, and start to live out what you already know in your gut. No one can stop a man committed to the Lord – no one!
Praying for you when you get out. You are not going to find it easy to be a different person. You will need to start each day with a new determination to do better. take one day at a time and if you fail one day start the next day over again and DON’T GIVE UP. God bless, Barb
Will you pray for how I have sinned and let me know I’m not the only one that cares about what I’m doing better.
DF, I care and send you this prayer from a darkened bed in Florida. Jesus cares. There are millions who love you in His name. You are me and I am you under God. Stay strong and find the One that has been caring for you all along.
When Jeff spoke to us and told us we can change and we are loved I know I want that. When I get out Im going to do what he said cause I dont want to end up in jail my whole life. I dont want to be like my dad.
Jesus I thank you that you are the bondage breaker. That in your name you give us new life and old things and the past are forgiven and forgotten, that life is now new. You give your Holy Spirit to live in us to help us trust in your word and believe that you can help us to change and begin life brand new in you; just as if we had never done anythng wrong. You promise that to us, and we thank you and receive it and ask for your favor and grace to bless C. Gonzales with the knowledge that if Jesus be for him, who can be against him? You, Jesus, are greater than the enemy and we ask you to help fight C. Gonzales battles. Thank you and we ask this in the name that is above every name, Jesus. Amen.
I feel like my life is over. I’m fifteen please pray for me.
Your hope is in JESUS! I am praying for you today and everyday. HE will see you through this.
Hang in there, Deliana, You life is far from over. Keep on keeping on one day at a time. There is hope for you out there you just have to put your faith in that fact. God will help you. Love Barb
I just want to thank you for sharing with us. It’s not everyday that people will come here tell us they care about us. Thank you!You are loved. Sid
Sid, you are loved. If God be for us, who can be against us? It is so wonderful to know that the God of the universe knows about us and loves us and wants to keep us as the “apple of his eye”. That’s love. God bless you and keep you and may his face shine upon you and give you peace.
G.H., praying for you. When Jesus was speaking to a group, a man appeared at the door to say, “Your mother and brothers are here to see you.” Jesus replied, while pointing to the believers that sat rapt at his feet, “These are my mother and my brothers.” God is you father and I am your brother. And your brother is praying for you at this very moment!! Stay Strong.
Pray please that I will get out of here and my family will be better when I get home. And pray for Jeff Moody. Thank you.
S.C. – Although we have never met, and I do not know your struggles, hurts, pain – I am so glad that God knows EVERYTHING about you. That means that when I pray for you – He knows exactly who you are and what to do and how to help you specifically. He uniquely created you for a purpose. My prayer is that He gives you strength, surrounds you with the right people to help you with each step you need to take to walk away from poor choices and a painful past to walk forward into His purpose and plans for your life.
I am also praying for your family – healing, help, and a safe haven for you to return, S.C.
Lastly, I pray for Jeff and the Upward Bound Outreach team daily. I support what they do and love that it helps you and others. Blessings from California!
I am praying in accord with you on this. God is listening and He is faithful. Learn His word by reading the Bible – you will find every answer and every love in that good book. Stay strong.
Please pray for me to do better and to stay out of trouble…
I have just prayed for you. The Enemy tempts us but do not be tempted. Only the good has real meaning as all trouble feels good before falling away to nothingness. But obedience, truth, love – these stay with us at the end of every breath. God Bless You.
Pray for me so I can break the bad habits I have.
I have just prayed for you. The Enemy tempts us but do not be tempted. Only the good has real meaning as all trouble feels good before falling away to nothingness. But obedience, truth, love – these stay with us at the end of every breath. God Bless You.
Bad habits are hard to break but you can do it with the help of prayer and determination. May God help you Barb
I need to get out of detention and stay out.
Yes, you do. I am praying for your strength and speaking directly to your heart, encouraging you to be part of the solution and not the problem. You know the power you have to be a child of God. I can sense it in your spirit as I am praying for you.
Please pray for my family to give me the strength to stop using drugs.
It is done. Drugs are nothing in the face of a loving God. The greatest drug of all is the feeling one gets when he/she feels that love from God. Seek it. You have been set aside for this. And then, you can bring it home to your family.
Pray for my strength to make it thru this. I’m homeless. I may be loved but my family is giving up on me. IDK who to turn to. –G.H.
G.H., I pray that God will give you strength and direct you to help. I know the people at UBO and they are working to establish mentoring and help like you are needing. In the meantime, I pray that help comes soon. Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
G.H. – some words may not seem to help in moments like you find yourself in but I understand this feeling of helplessness. I too have felt this at times in my life and the one thing that kept me going and my head above water was knowing God was watching after me. You are loved! And you will make it! God is faithful to help us become all that he intended us to be. Hang in there but most importantly reach out to God and He will be faithful to be there with you, for you and leading you to a better place!
